Born and raised in Lansing Michigan, educated at Western Michigan University in Kalamazoo, and Florida Atlantic University in Boca Raton, Rick’s musical career has spanned 3 decades as an arranger, composer, producer, keyboardist and vocalist. His music has been heard literally all around the world.
From his contributions to the ABACO music library catalogue, his music has been used in shows such as, “EVERYBODY HATES CHRIS”, “FRIENDS”, “TWO OF A KIND”, “GOOD MORNING AMERICA”, “ENTERTAINMENT TONIGHT”, “THE GEORGE LOPEZ SHOW” (to mention a few). Motion picture soundtrack credits in the 2007 Release “MOVING MCCALLISTER” and the 2009 Release “THE UGLY TRUTH”.
For the TELEMUNDO NETWORK, Rick’s work can currently be heard on “AL ROJO VIVO”, “ALGUIN TE MIRA”, “EL FANTASMA DE ELENA”, “LA REINA DEL SUR”, “CASO CERRADO”, “AURORA”, “EL CLON”, and the theme for “TELEMUNDO FUTBOL!!” soccer broadcasts. He also composed and produced the song for the ’07-’09 “TU CANAL!” network promo campaign.
As a recording session vocalist and keyboardist he has worked with: GLORIA ESTEFAN, MICHAEL BOLTON, ADAM GAYNOR (MATCHBOX 20), HILARY McCREA, RON HEMBY(THE IMPERIALS), ROBERTO CARLOS, DION DIMUCCI, FRANKI VALLE, ENGLEBERT HUMPERDINK, DEANNA MARTIN, JOSEPH B’WARI (The Jersey Boys), BUCKY PIZZARELLI, JOHN TROPEA, RUSS MILLER, Record Producers RUDY PEREZ and CHAKA BLACKMON, and legendary Arranger/Producer CHARLES CALELLO,
Currently, he is a part time Musical Director and Worship Leader at SPANISH RIVER CHURCH in Boca Raton, Freelance Teacher/Clinician of Contemporary Church Music in the US and abroad, Arranger and Vocalist for his Jazz Quartet “THE CIRCLE”, Keyboardist and Vocalist in the RUSS MILLER trio “ARRIVAL”, first call Vocalist for ZIMMERMAN & PARTNERS ADVERTISING, and Freelance Composer/Producer/Arranger.
